Alabama Practice Based CME Program PDF Print E-mail
Meeting

Answering the request for more relevant and practice-based Continuing Medical Education (CME), AQAF and the University of Alabama School of Medicine Division of Continuing Medical Education have partnered to offer the Alabama Practice-Based CME Program.
This collaborative program can be customized to the needs of the physician practice and is designed to provide assistance in efficiently dealing with the complex older patient in the setting of limited clinic time.
Physicians participating in the Alabama Practice-Based CME Program can earn credits required for Alabama licensure with CMEs focused on the care of complex older patients, obtain literature searches and requested articles, share with and learn from colleagues, take advantage of available electronic patient flow chart and computer software to collect and track patient/practice specific data, receive coding tips to ensure appropriate reimbursement for complex older patients, receive patient education materials customized to their practice and receive quarterly reports on diabetes care and mammograms.
The program's public recognition component acknowledges all participating physicians and provides special recognition for those practices with extraordinary achievements.  For more information, go to UAB Practiced-Based CME.
